The Body Shop: Wild Rose Hand Cream spf 15

Autumn has started which my hands translate into winter and get all dry. So off I went to The Body Shop store to get my favorite Hemp Hand Protector that  is a good substitute for some other and even pricier hand cream. They didn’t have it, of course. I guess my hands are not the only ones who have problems with telling the season and behaving accordingly. Yet there was a new hand moisturizer on the shelf and since it’s targeted for mature skin I dreamt of amazing moisturizing and nourishing properties…and then I woke up. But let’s be nice and start with something nice.

The good thing is that this hand cream smells amazing. I feel like it’s made from bulgarian rose and it’s not too candy-like at all yet doesn’t feel like rose perfume you inherited after your grandma. The scent lasts for at least an hour without being overpowering. The second (or shall I say last) good thing is the spf especially for daytime use.

The bad thing: I have to admit I have never had a hand cream that not only does not moisturize my hands it actually makes my skin feel tighter and drier withing five minutes of application. It feels like my hands are coated with a film that starts shrinking my skin. Yuck.

The second bad thing is the packaging and I read a few reviews to know I am not the only one struggling with it. The cap is small a fiddly. So it can be rather tricky to open it on a street or in a public transport, squeeze some of it out and then screw it on again. It’s so flimsy that even though you think you put it on proper and tight hours later you discover the hand cream has ventured inside  your handbag, the cap nowhere to be found or there is a hole in the tint tube.

So for $20/250Czk you get a hand cream that is not going to make it in the dangerous environment of your handbag and that will not moisturize your hands. Not too bad is it? (Sarcasm over).

Moje drahé ručičky si pletou roční období  a s nástupem i sebevíc mírného podzimu mají krutou zimu, oschnou a chystají se praskat. Tak jsem vyrazila do Body Shopu do Palladia, abych si koupila jejich krém na ruce Hemp Hand Protector, který si kupuju jako levnější náhradu jistého nechutně drahého krému (asi tušíte). A samozřejmě, neměli ho. Asi nejsem jediná, kdo má tak nemožné ruce. Ale vedle se hrdě tyčila tahle novinka a když je určena pro zralé ručky, začala jsem snít o neuvěřitelné výživě a hydrataci…a pak jsem se probrala.

Jsem milá holka, začneme tím, co je na krému fajn, ono toho moc stejně nebude.

Fajn je jak úžasně voní. Voní po bulharské růži, není příliš sladký, ale taky nebudete mít pocit, že jste zdědila parfém po babičce. Vůně je stálá, vydrží i hodinu, aniž by byla omamující. Fajn je taky to, že má v sobě ochranný filtr 15 a tak vám nezestárnou (tak rychle) vaše ručky.

Ovšem méně fajn je to, že tento krém vůbec, ale vůbec, nejenže nehydratuje a nevyživí ani jednu buňku vašeho epidermu, on dokonce ty ruce vysušuje. Tedy aspoň tak se moje ruce po pěti minutách po nanesení cítí, jak scvrklé švestky.

A druhý problém je obal a uzavírání. Ten vršek je docela malý, takže odšroubovat, namáznout a zase šroubovat, tentokrát s kluzkýma rukama, někde na ulici či v mhd je oříšek, ale budiž. Povedlo se, je zavřeno a utaženo, krém padá do kabelky a vy za hodinu zjistíte, že i tak se nějak rozšrouboval a rozhlédl po celé vaší kabelce, uzávěr emigroval úplně a ještě se stihl propíchnout obal…

Takže uznejte, za 250kč to není zas tak zlý: nehydratuje a v džungli té vaší kabelky to jednoho dne nezvládne. No nekupte to.
